When asked if I’d mind taking some shots to help capture the day, I didn’t need to be asked twice.  I love taking photos, and sometimes the only difficulty is finding something to shoot!  So I was honoured and excited to be given this opportunity.

It was a really fun day from start to finish, and taking shots of the bridal preps and the venue pre-wedding, meant I was involved from the word go, which was great.

So… 2 weeks after their big day, I’ve finalled finished sorting through and editing Hayley & Dan’s wedding photos.  They are being delivered to the newlyweds tonight for a viewing session (with a bit of Champions League Final thrown in!).

It really was a great day, and going through the photos has had me reliving it over and over.  Hopefully Hayley and Dan will have as much fun as me reliving their day tonight.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Moylan… aka Dan & Hayley.

We attended their wedding at Parley Manor, in Dorest, on Friday…and after staying an extra day (mainly to let the hangover wear off!) we are now home and I have just a few photos (2 memory cards full!) to sort through, edit and pass on to the happy couple.

Although I was a guest first, and photographer second… I had great fun snapping away all day (and night) and hopefully will have captured a nice overview of the day for the happy couple to look back on.

So time to get editing… there will be some pictures to show for my efforts in a few weeks!

Just a quick post… I’ve been waiting a few weeks to get my hands on a new lens, and now it’s finally arrived.. the weather is rubbish and I’ve got nowhere and nothing to take pictures of!

That will all change in a couple of weeks when I’ll get the chance to take some shots at the wedding of our good friends Hayley & Dan in Dorset.  In the meantime though, these are a couple of snaps from a (cold) walk with my lovely wife last weekend.

Yesterday was spent in Dorset enjoying the countryside on possibly the nicest day of the year so far.  The reason for the trip was to visit Parley Manor, which is where, on the 4th May, good friends of ours will be getting married.

They were there for a run through of how the day will go, I tagged along as not only will I be enjoying the their big day as a guest, I’ll also be capturing the day through the lens and I didn’t want to turn up on the day having never seen the venue.

The wedding will take place in the grounds and as it’s only a summer venue, the grounds are in full prep mode… new flowers planted, lawns seeded & shrubs trimmed back.  I can’t wait to go back in 10 weeks time to see the place in full bloom and enjoying a much needed excuse to spend a day snapping away.

It’s going to be an amazing day, and all things being well I’ll have some great pictures to post on the site in the days following it.

For now, just a couple of snapshots I snuck in of the manor house whilst we were being whisked around the venue.

At 5:45am this morning (a Saturday morning), I was woken by my wife’s alarm.  It may be a weekend for me, but not her… so before I’d even fully woken up, she was dressed and out the door on her way to the Big Brother house in Borehamwood to setup today’s task to keep the celebrities entertained and give them a chance to win… well, I can’t give that away.

Anyway, after a little snooze… I thought I should do something productive if she’s out working.  So I wrapped up, grabbed my camera and went for a quick drive to see what I could make of the clear skies and frosty ground!  I went to a local park, took these shots… then headed straight home for a cup of coffee to wake and warm me up!

So… we now have some galleries, and some photos in those galleries.  So I make that the framework of the site complete!  All that’s left now is to spend 2012 taking as many photos as I can from as many different places and events and keep the site updated.

Looking forward to a photo-tastic year.

So after far too long, I’ve finally managed to get round to designing me a little website to showcase my photos, perhaps blog a little and generally have a web presence!

This is still a work in progress but I’ll try and keep the content rich and relevant.
